This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect at AgentTutor (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Kentauros AI Inc.”), why we collect it, and how we use it. Our goal is to be open and respectful of your privacy. 

By using AgentTutor (the “Service”), you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

1.1 Company Information
AgentTutor is a product of Kentauros AI Inc., a Delaware corporation located in the United States. For purposes of data protection laws, Kentauros AI Inc. is the “data controller” of your personal data, where applicable.

2. The Short Version
  • You own your data.
  • We also get a license to use that data (as explained in more detail in our Terms of Service).
  • We don’t sell your data, ever.
  • We store “Secrets” (like passwords or tokens) only so agents can do their job on your behalf.
3. What We Collect

We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with AgentTutor:

  1. Account Information
    • Name and email address
    • A password (unless you sign in with Google or another provider)
    • Optionally, data from Google OAuth (e.g., profile name, email)
  2. Usage Data
    • IP address
    • Device/browser information (including operating system, browser type, and version)
    • Usage activity and logs (e.g., feature usage, timestamps)
    • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
    • Data you generate, such as agent interactions, annotations, and feedback
  3. Secrets (Sensitive Credentials)
    • Tokens, passwords, or other sensitive data you provide so that your agents can operate on third-party services
    • These credentials are stored securely and used only as needed by your agents

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or biometric data) unless it is expressly required for your use of the Service. If you choose to provide such data, you acknowledge and agree to its processing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Service Provision
    • To operate, maintain, and provide core features of AgentTutor
    • To set up and manage your account
  2. Training and Evaluating AI Agents
    • Using anonymized or aggregated data to improve AI agent performance and capabilities
  3. Product Improvement and Bug Fixes
    • Analyzing usage data to understand user needs and fix platform issues
  4. Communications
    • Sending account-related messages (e.g., password resets, security alerts)
    • Providing product updates, newsletters, or promotional offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  5. Open Datasets
    • As stated in our Terms of Service, we may create open datasets from anonymized or aggregated user data to further AI research
    • Secrets will never be included in any public dataset
  6. Legal Compliance and Security
    • To detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, or other harmful activities
    • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
5. Legal Bases for Processing (For EU Users)

If you are located in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), we must have a lawful basis to process your personal data. Our legal bases include:

  • Performance of a Contract: We process personal data to provide and maintain the Service in accordance with our contract with you (i.e., our Terms of Service).
  • Legitimate Interests: We rely on our legitimate interests in improving the Service, developing AI capabilities, and securing our platform. We also process data for internal analytics and product development, balanced against your data-protection rights.

6. Who Owns the Data?
  • You do.
    All the data you generate (including annotated interactions and agent behavior logs) belongs to you.
  • License to Kentauros AI.
    By using AgentTutor, you grant Kentauros AI a perpetual, irrevocable license to use, analyze, modify, and share that data (in accordance with our Terms of Service). This license extends to the creation of open datasets and other research/innovation efforts, provided no Secrets or personally identifying information is publicly disclosed.
7. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. However, we use trusted third-party providers (i.e., data processors) to help operate AgentTutor. These third parties only receive data necessary to provide their services and are contractually bound to protect it. Examples include:

  • Sentry (error monitoring)
  • OpenMeter (usage/consumption tracking)
  • Google Analytics (future plans, for product analytics)
  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers (for data hosting and storage)

In addition, we may share personal data when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, users, or comply with a court order.

Business Transfers: If Kentauros AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Authenticate your sessions
  • Analyze usage patterns
  • Improve your user experience

9. Data Security

We take data security seriously and employ technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data. These include:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (where feasible)
  • Access controls ensuring only authorized personnel can view sensitive information
  • Secure storage for your Secrets

Despite our best efforts, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for using caution when sharing sensitive data with any online service.

10. Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will:

  • Delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, subject to technical limitations.
  • Retain certain data if necessary for legitimate business interests (e.g., legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcing our agreements) or to meet legal obligations.

Usage data that has been anonymized or aggregated may be retained indefinitely to support analytics and research.

11. International Users & Data Transfers

AgentTutor is accessible worldwide. If you use our Service from outside the United States, be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States (or other countries where we or our service providers operate). We use recognized legal mechanisms—such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)—to safeguard data transfers from the EU/EEA to the U.S.

12. Children’s Privacy

AgentTutor is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover we have collected personal data from a child under 13 (or under the applicable age of consent in your country), we will promptly delete it. 13. Your Rights and Choices (For EU/EEA Residents and Others Where Applicable)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights over your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
  • Portability: Obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Objection or Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal).
